PSSI president Erick Thohir described criticism as a common part of national-team coaching, Thanh Nien reported, citing CNN Indonesia. His remarks came amid pressure on John Herdman after Indonesia’s 0-0 FIFA ASEAN Cup draw with Malaysia.

Thohir referred to Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia as examples of similar scrutiny, expressing sympathy with coaches. The comments concern the football environment and do not announce a coaching replacement or a new national-team personnel decision.
