Thanh Hóa have been placed under a ban on registering new players over outstanding financial obligations to Matias Belli Moldskred, according to a FIFA disciplinary notice reported in Vietnam. The document dated 16 October cites decision FPSD-24713.

The reported notice applies the restriction internationally and domestically, while asking the Vietnam Football Federation to implement the national registration ban immediately if it has not already done so.

Restriction linked to payment

The ban is to remain in force until the outstanding amounts are paid, subject to a maximum of three consecutive registration periods. It concerns the registration of new players; the reported document does not announce the club's expulsion from competition.

The amount owed to Matias is not specified in the published account of the notice. The Nicaraguan midfielder joined Thanh Hóa in March 2026 and made seven league appearances during the 2025-26 season, according to the report.

Separate from the Rimario dispute

An earlier FIFA document received by VFF on 10 September concerned a different dispute involving Rimario. That case required Thanh Hóa to pay 305,000 US dollars in outstanding remuneration, plus annual interest of five per cent from 18 June 2026.

The 305,000-dollar figure belongs to Rimario's case and cannot be assigned to Matias's claim. Although both cases concern the same club's financial obligations, they involve separate players and decisions. The latest development is the instruction to enforce the registration restriction while the Matias obligation remains unpaid.
