Vietnam’s national baseball team received encouragement from Prime Minister Le Minh Hung in Laos after its Dream Cup 2026 opener, SGGP reports. The team had come from behind to beat host Laos 7–6. At the meeting, the prime minister congratulated the players and encouraged continued teamwork and effort in the remaining fixtures. The result represents an opening-game victory and a positive start to the tournament, rather than a championship-winning performance.
