Ho Chi Minh City has issued Plan 556/KH-UBND for activities marking Vietnam Culture Day on November 24, 2026. The programme is scheduled from early November through December, with a November 18–24 peak week and suitable activities across 168 wards, communes and special zones.

Public access and community activities

Poster, fine-art and photographic exhibitions are planned for November 18–25, opening at Chi Lăng Park. They will present local identity, urban life, tourism and cultural industries. The wider programme includes theatres, museums, neighbourhoods, schools and industrial parks.

During the peak week, relevant state-managed museums, heritage sites, theatres and circuses will offer free or reduced admission. Private operators are encouraged to arrange suitable discounts; the plan does not make every cultural venue or cinema free.

Community activities include traditional performances, sport, martial arts, folk games and exchanges. A Côn Đảo book fair is scheduled for November 19–22, connecting reading with historical memory and education.

Cultural industries in the city centre

Nguyễn Huệ pedestrian street is expected to host cultural-industry displays on November 22–24, covering film, stage arts, crafts, advertising, games and tourism. Digitisation, QR codes and virtual or augmented reality are intended to support visitor experiences.

The plan also proposes 3D mapping outside city hall on November 21–24 and a Hozo launch performance at Saigon Riverfront Park at 8 p.m. on November 23. An arts broadcast and fireworks are planned for November 24 at Nguyễn Huệ and locations in Bình Dương and Vũng Tàu wards. These are future scheduled activities, not verified completed events.
