Yu becomes the competition's leading scorer

Yu's second goal, a header from a corner, took her total in the competition's history to 12. She surpassed Venezuela's Deyna Castellanos to become the Women's U-17 World Cup's all-time leading scorer.

Germany beat Morocco 4-2 to secure progression. Marie Kleemann, Lena Martens and Clara Choisy scored before half-time, with Mia Giesen adding a penalty after the break. Nessma Mouradi scored twice for the hosts, including a stoppage-time penalty.

Historic victory for Argentina

Mercedes Diz scored in each half as Argentina defeated New Zealand 2-0. She headed in Brunella Pilati's cross in the 42nd minute and volleyed home Violeta Alvarez's delivery in the 69th. Coach Christian Meloni described it as Argentina's first victory in the tournament's history. New Zealand were eliminated after a second consecutive defeat.

Nigeria beat Puerto Rico 2-0 through Oluwakemi Adegbuyi's 25th-minute finish and Precious Oscar's effort in second-half stoppage time. Puerto Rico came close to their first World Cup goal, but Jane Ijirigho tipped Isabella Sanabria-Cora's shot over the bar.
