Vietnam U23 will face Thailand, Singapore and Qatar at the 2026 Gia Lai VTV Cup in Pleiku from November 10–14. VFF announced the friendly tournament's schedule on October 17, with the four teams playing a single round-robin.

The federation is organising the event with Gia Lai's culture, sports and tourism department and Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC. It remains an upcoming preparation tournament rather than a completed competition.

Vietnam's three fixtures

Vietnam is scheduled to meet Thailand in the opening match at 19:00 on November 10. Games against Singapore on November 12 and Qatar on November 14 are also listed for 19:00 at Pleiku.

The squad is expected to regroup on November 8. That is a preparation plan, not confirmation of a starting lineup or individual selections.

VFF described the opposition as an opportunity to assess players and gain experience ahead of further objectives, including qualification for the 2028 Asian U23 championship. The friendly tournament is separate from that qualifying competition.

Prize structure outlined

The winners are due to receive $100,000, a trophy and gold medals. The second-placed team receives $40,000 and silver medals, while third place brings $20,000 and bronze medals.

Individual awards include $2,000 for the best player and $1,000 each for top scorer, best goalkeeper and best referee team. These are announced prizes rather than payments already awarded.

The event also supports Gia Lai's 2026 national tourism-year programme and offers local supporters international football. VFF said further information would be provided before the tournament begins.
