Kazakhstan’s Toxanbayeva had her result annulled after initially finishing first in an Asian Games race-walking event, BongdaPlus reported. Citing a technical official, the report said her shoes were not on World Athletics’ approved list.

Toxanbayeva appealed after being told she had lost the gold medal. The appeal and final medal allocation await further decisions.
