An archive portrait of Michael Jordan; it does not show the recently auctioned jersey. Photo: FIBA.
A jersey worn by Michael Jordan in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $12.26 million through Joopiter, FIBA reports. Owner Rob Gough offered it through the auction platform associated with Pharrell Williams. Jordan scored 24 points in that game, and the Chicago Bulls eventually won the series 4-2. This is a different jersey from the one he wore in Game 1 of the same Finals, which sold at Sotheby's for $10.1 million in 2022.
