A game-worn, signed Michael Jordan jersey from Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals has sold privately for USD14 million, NBA.com reported via AP on 12 October. Hunt Auctions identified the buyer as Ron Firman and called it a basketball memorabilia record. The transaction was a private treaty sale, rather than a public auction. It does not surpass the broader sports-jersey record of USD24.12 million paid for a Babe Ruth jersey in 2024.
