Industry and Trade Minister Le Manh Hung called for the remaining work at the Quang Trach power complex to be accelerated following an October 4 inspection, according to the ministry. Quang Trach I has two 701.5 MW units and reported overall progress of 99.62% in October. The units synchronized with the grid on April 12 and September 28, but testing and procedures still separate that milestone from commercial operation. Planned commercial operation dates are November 23 for unit one and December 31, 2026, for unit two. EVN and the relevant agencies and contractors were instructed to coordinate against those deadlines.
