Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has requested clear schedules, financing and responsibilities for power projects, Báo Chính phủ reported on 12 October. The Industry and Trade Ministry is to coordinate a review of delayed, impractical or additional projects when adjusting Power Development Plan VIII. The aim is to support peak demand, economic growth and high-tech uses. These are implementation instructions and planning priorities, rather than confirmation that additional generating capacity has already entered service.
