Vietnam's men's volleyball programme plans to continue working with Federico Rampazzo in 2027, SGGP Thể thao reports. The Italian specialist has left following the 2026 international programme, with a possible early-year return forming part of the next development cycle.

Domestic observation precedes team training

Rampazzo is expected to assess players during the first phase of the 2027 national league before organising national-team preparations, provided the plan remains unchanged. A representative of the national high-level athlete training centre describes him as the preferred option.

The approach continues work begun in 2026 rather than introducing him to the players for the first time. SGGP notes positive assessments of his influence on mentality and collective organisation.

The previous programme assembled 19 players before selecting 12 for the Asian Games. Those numbers describe the 2026 process, not a newly announced 2027 squad.

Next year's targets remain prospective

A medal at the 34th SEA Games in Malaysia is among the stated aims, alongside the AVC Cup and regional competition. These are objectives rather than completed results.

The report recalls positive 2026 regional performances and victories over Southeast Asian opponents, including two wins against Indonesia in separate competitions.

Rampazzo's assessment is that individual quality must be connected through concentration and collective ambition. That coaching view does not replace future selection decisions or match outcomes.

The new information concerns continued planning and when player observation could resume. The article does not establish that every contractual or practical arrangement for the 2027 cycle has been completed.
