Saudi Aramco chief executive Amin Nasser warned that replenishing global oil stocks already drawn down could take up to two years, VietnamPlus reported from the Energy Intelligence Forum in London on October 5. He said supply remained under pressure from conflict and restrictions affecting transport through the Strait of Hormuz. Even if shipping conditions improve, the market would still need to meet consumption while rebuilding inventories. The two-year timeframe is the executive’s assessment of those conditions, not a guaranteed recovery schedule or a finding that every country’s reserves have been exhausted.
