An earlier case provides the background
The commission cited information from the police cybersecurity department about influencers publishing videos and posts without verification. That department coordinated with Hanoi police and the securities regulator over a TikTok account making sweeping allegations about securities companies' margin-lending activity.
The relevant videos were posted on 25 July 2026. Hanoi police issued the administrative penalty on 21 September, fining the account holder VND12.5 million. Those are separate dates: publication of the videos, the enforcement decision and the regulator's subsequent warning. The September penalty should not be recast as a new October case.
Verification is the focus of the notice
The commission urged market participants not to accept or redistribute information that has not been checked. Its warning concerns claims about securities operations and markets, particularly statements capable of distorting public understanding.
The account does not announce a fake investment fund, a quantified investor loss or a new finding about a particular brokerage's finances. The accompanying trading-room photograph is illustrative and does not identify its subjects as offenders. Any later official announcement would be a separate development; this warning alone establishes no new investigation outcome or additional penalty.
