Amelia Dimoldenberg has added New York and Los Angeles cinemas to the November 24 Chicken Shop Date event, Variety reports. The one-night presentation with YouTube Cine Club will bring together all six episodes of the final series.

Expanding the cinema event

New venues include New York's IFC Center and Los Angeles's Regal Sherman Oaks Galleria, alongside additional screenings in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and elsewhere. Event publicity says the original UK, Ireland and Paris screenings sold out within three hours.

The expansion changes the event's reach without establishing a regular theatrical run everywhere.

Episodes and a retrospective element

The programme includes interviews featuring Noel Gallagher, Role Model and Jorja Smith, exclusive new material and the final unreleased episode. That finale is then scheduled to reach YouTube on November 27.

Publicity also describes a personal reflection on Dimoldenberg's relationship with the show and her decision to end it. The film combines comedy, nostalgia and candid reflection in a celebration of the format and a farewell to its run.

Invite-only premieres are planned for London on November 16 and New York on November 17, with Dimoldenberg taking part in questions and answers. These are separate from the public November 24 event and should not be treated as generally ticketed screenings.

The next public milestones are the November 24 cinema presentation and the final episode's November 27 YouTube release. The one-night event lets audiences encounter that finale before its online publication.
