Vietnam's Cinema Department ordered iQIYI to remove season one of “Playboyy” from its service in Vietnam within 24 hours of 11 a.m. on September 29 and report compliance by noon on September 30. After review, the department classified the 14-episode series as C, prohibiting distribution.
Tuoi Tre reports that iQIYI removed all 14 episodes from its app and website for access from Vietnam after receiving the request. That outcome is attributed to the source report, rather than an independent check of every device. The case concerns online distributors' classification and content-removal responsibilities.
