Vietnam finished the Asian Games athletics competition with one bronze medal, Tuoi Tre reported. On September 29, the women’s 4×400m team of Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Hang and Nguyen Thi Ngoc placed fifth in 3:32.28.
The men’s relay was disrupted when Vu Ngoc Khanh dropped the baton on the second leg, leaving the team unable to recover the gap. Duong Thi Thao cleared 1.80m for sixth in the women’s high jump. The final-day events added no medals to Vietnam’s athletics tally.
