Vietnam's athletics coaching staff met on October 7 to review an Asian Games campaign that produced one bronze in the mixed 4x400m relay, SGGP reports. Although better than the previous edition's medal-free return, the result fell short of a target of one gold, one silver and one bronze. Coaches acknowledged shortcomings and discussed concentrating resources on athletes and events with stronger Asian-level prospects. These proposed changes still need to be translated into specific training plans.
