Vietnam's women's volleyball team is absent from the 32-team field announced for the 2027 World Championship, SGGP reported, citing FIVB. Ranked 33rd, Vietnam did not obtain a place through the qualifying ranking positions. The tournament is scheduled for August 29-September 5, 2027, in the United States and Canada. Vietnam's appearance at the 2025 edition in Thailand did not guarantee qualification for the next championship. Following the Asian Games, the players have returned to their clubs to prepare for the second phase of the domestic season.
