Korean American singer-songwriter Ejae has married producer and composer Sam Kim, Yonhap reported on October 20, citing Vogue. The outdoor ceremony took place in South Korea at a multipurpose cultural venue on the former residence site of her maternal grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun.

The couple changed their original plans

They had initially intended to marry in California the following month but moved the celebration to South Korea and brought it forward by about a month. Vogue described a Saturday ceremony; the date of Yonhap's report should not be treated as the wedding date.

The couple prepared for four months after temporarily postponing arrangements because of promotional work and awards appearances following KPop Demon Hunters. Ejae described the process as busy and sometimes stressful but emphasised teamwork in bringing the preparations together.

The chosen venue carried a family connection. Their account describes a change in location and schedule without establishing additional private reasons beyond those disclosed.

Musical colleagues became partners

Ejae and Kim first met during a music session in 2017. They continued working together while developing their relationship and became engaged in June last year.

Ejae attracted wider attention for Golden from Netflix's animated film KPop Demon Hunters. A former SM Entertainment trainee, she had already worked on K-pop songs including Red Velvet's Psycho and aespa's Drama.

Her account connects years of musical collaboration with the teamwork involved in preparing the ceremony. Ejae's earlier musical credits provide professional background, while an April 2026 press-event photograph is archival portrait material rather than a photograph of the wedding.
