Eva Olid expects to draw on her full Manchester United Women's squad during three matches in seven days. In the club's October 17 pre-match interview, she identified rotation as an important part of the coming week.

United return from the international break away to Charlton Athletic, then visit Liverpool in the Subway Players Cup before hosting the Manchester derby the following weekend.

Opportunities across the squad

Olid said emerging younger players had increased her options. She wants those receiving opportunities to demonstrate readiness, without announcing individual starting line-ups.

While staying in Manchester, she watched the international matches available to her and monitored appearances, goals and assists. The amount of playing time earned by younger squad members was another positive.

Elisabeth Terland scored a hat-trick for Norway, Maya Le Tissier registered her first England goal and Hannah Lundkvist scored for Sweden. Mared Griffiths and Scarlett Hill also impressed for Wales.

Respect for Charlton

United had gone five matches unbeaten in all competitions before the break. A 1–0 victory over Liverpool supplied their third consecutive win and first clean sheet of the campaign.

Charlton sit bottom without a point, but Olid warned that a team seeking its first victory could bring additional energy. She wants United to preserve their positive atmosphere without treating the opposition lightly.

Sunday's game at The Valley is scheduled for 2pm BST, or 8pm in Vietnam. Team selection and results remain to be determined as United balance the league fixture with two further demanding matches.
