FIFA says its Forward programme provided USD1.85 million for the Football Federation of Timor-Leste’s Technical Centre in Dili. The facility includes a full-size artificial pitch, two smaller pitches and floodlights.
FFTL president Nilton Gusmão dos Santos said the centre supports youth development, grassroots football, national-team training, women’s football, and coach and referee development. The lighting extends activities beyond daylight hours, giving more people access to training and helping the federation develop football infrastructure.
