FIFA and European Football Clubs are close to an agreement on dividing the Club World Cup’s $250 million solidarity fund, The Guardian reported. The emerging proposal would allocate half to European clubs and half to clubs elsewhere.

Distribution would follow ratification, with confirmation expected after an October FIFA meeting. The 50-50 split is therefore a proposed arrangement nearing agreement, not money already paid to individual clubs.
