UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin criticized FIFA’s governance in a speech at the European Football Clubs assembly in Copenhagen, the Guardian reported. He referred to the abandoned FIFA Forward Enterprise project and questioned transparency and consultation in football administration.
The remarks reflect a dispute between the organizations’ leaders, rather than an announcement of a change in FIFA’s presidency. Nasser Al-Khelaifi also denied plans to run for FIFA president and discussed an idea for a global club organization.
