Planned coverage for Vietnamese viewers
FPT Play will continue NBA coverage in 2026-27, its fifth consecutive season under an existing rights agreement running through 2027-28. The announcement describes the service for the new season rather than a newly signed rights contract.
The broadcaster plans approximately 209 to 226 games per season. That includes about 180 regular-season games and 22 to 34 playoff games, together with selected NBA Cup, Play-In Tournament and preseason fixtures. The content list also includes the NBA All-Star Game and NBA Draft. These are planned selections, not a promise to show every NBA game.
Analysis programme and domestic basketball
A weekly programme called Rebound Talk is intended to examine prominent NBA subjects with basketball experts and guests. The announced format combines discussion with PIERO tactical-analysis and sports-graphics technology.
The league opens on the morning of October 21 in Vietnam with Boston against Detroit, Oklahoma City against San Antonio and Philadelphia against New York. Those fixtures provide the launch context for the viewing information; the coverage announcement does not report their results.
FPT Play also carries the Vietnamese professional VBA league and national competitions organised or jointly organised by the Vietnam Basketball Federation. The national 5x5 club cup runs from October 20 to 26.
