The NBA has announced new and expanded digital experiences for the 2026–27 season, aiming to connect live-game discovery with real-time coverage and analysis across its app, website, social channels and partner platforms.

Finding where games are available

Tap to Watch is expanding to TikTok posts mentioning #NBA and content from hundreds of creators granted access to game highlights. The links connect fans with available broadcasts; they do not themselves make every game free to watch.

NBA Gametime on X will combine scores, highlights, conversations and viewing information in a dedicated timeline. Tap to Watch also continues across NBA and team platforms and partners including Google's OneBox results and Sportscaster. Fans can add the NBA schedule to digital calendars with links to each game's viewing options.

Live insights and AI-assisted tools

The NBA App's Game Pulse combines a court visualization, highlights, player and team milestones, shot charts and quarter-by-quarter statistics. It is designed for following games live or catching up on important changes in momentum.

Ask NBA offers an AI-powered assistant for questions about games, players, statistics and on-court trends using official league data. Other additions include Handle Score for dribbling analysis, a zone-defense model and NBA Blueprint's pregame and postgame reports.

Game Pulse will feature perspectives from former players including Muggsy Bogues, Carlos Boozer, Gary Payton and Joakim Noah. Daily live warm-up coverage is also planned on the app.

League Pass viewing changes

Auto-Play Next recommends another matchup when a game ends. Multiview Focus Mode emphasizes one primary game while showing up to three others, with personalized four-game suggestions based on followed teams.

Availability depends on region, platform, subscription and relevant broadcast conditions. Vietnamese fans should not interpret the feature announcement as a promise of free access to every live game.
