Vietnam drew 2-2 away to Kyrgyzstan in the teams' second futsal friendly on November 5, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) reported. The federation reports that Từ Minh Quang equalised in the 37th minute after Vietnam had fallen 2-1 behind.
Thịnh Phát put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute, before second-half goals from Talaibekov and Doolotov turned the game around. Vietnam had lost the first friendly 2-1, leaving the two-match series with one home win and one draw.
Lead and response
Huỳnh Văn Hoài created the opening goal by advancing down the flank and crossing for Thịnh Phát, who finished past goalkeeper Kudaberdiev. Phạm Văn Tú made important saves, including one in the 18th minute that preserved the lead until the interval, according to the VFF.
Hồ Văn Ý replaced Văn Tú in goal for the second half. In the 24th minute Dzhanat won possession and set up Talaibekov's equaliser for 1-1. Doolotov later put Kyrgyzstan ahead in the 34th minute after another defensive mistake, the federation's match account says.
Extra attacker produces an equaliser
Coach Diego Giustozzi switched to a power play with around five minutes left, using an extra outfield attacker during possession. Nhan Gia Hưng's pass to the far post gave Từ Minh Quang the finish for 2-2. Vietnam kept the approach late on, and the home goalkeeper denied Thịnh Phát with 32 seconds remaining.
The VFF highlighted the attacking combination while also identifying defensive errors. The two friendlies gave the coaching staff material to assess both team selection and tactical execution.
