Gia Lai has approved the investment plan and investor for Quang Ngai Sugar's An Khe ethanol plant, VietnamPlus reported. The project is valued at more than VND1.741 trillion and is designed to produce 200,000 litres of ethanol per day alongside related products. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with operation targeted for the third quarter of 2028. Provincial requirements include environmental procedures and emissions and wastewater controls, considering nearby existing plants. Approval does not mean construction or production has already been completed.
