H264 has sold US and UK rights to Rodrigue Jean's Labrador – Autopsy of Silence to TLA Releasing, Variety reported. The film won three awards at Tribeca.
Those honours recognised international narrative feature, Mathieu Laverdière's cinematography and Christopher Angatookalook's performance.
The story follows a cargo ship supplying Inuit communities in northern Canada. When its cook is murdered during a storm, suspicion falls on an Inuit mechanic. The investigation provides a setting for exploring prejudice and social relationships.
