Hà Anh Tuấn will celebrate two decades in music with Circus of Friends, an exclusive, limited-capacity concert on 17 December at the Phú Thọ Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Venue in Ho Chi Minh City, Tuổi Trẻ reported. The hall seats only about 2,000 people, which is why the show has been built around a small audience and the experience of each person in it.
On the morning of 28 October the singer teased the project on social media with a picture of himself walking a tightrope, microphone in hand.
Why only 2,000 seats
Citing the singer's team, Tuổi Trẻ said the roughly 2,000-seat capacity meant this meeting had to take a different form: an intimate night for the fans who have followed him through many stages of his career. The paper added that it will be the first music event held at this new cultural venue in the city.
Thanh Niên described the venue's main hall as having about 2,000 seats and a multi-purpose stage. For Hà Anh Tuấn and his production company VietVision, it said, a venue is not just a place to hold a show but part of what shapes it. Thanh Niên also called the event a Friends Meeting, a deliberate twist on the idea of a fan meeting: a get-together between the singer and his friends.
Fans pick the songs
For the first time, Tuổi Trẻ said, the audience will help choose the setlist. According to Thanh Niên, a vote is under way on the We Love Hà Anh Tuấn page. The five leading songs when the paper reported were:
| Song | Votes |
|---|---|
| Ru em từng ngón xuân nồng | 2,224 |
| Em | 650 |
| Hoa hồng | 617 |
| Vẹn nguyên | 538 |
| Xuân thì | 518 |
Thanh Niên stressed that the ranking is not the official setlist.
Twenty years, unusual stages
Hà Anh Tuấn emerged from the 2006 edition of the Sao Mai điểm hẹn contest with a Promising Singer award while studying chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany, without formal vocal training, Tuổi Trẻ recalled. The paper called him one of the few V-pop artists able to sell out tens of thousands of concert tickets within minutes without publicity stunts. Both papers traced his search for distinctive venues over the past five years:
| When | Show and venue |
|---|---|
| 2023 | Chân trời rực rỡ in Ninh Bình |
| 2024 | Sketch A Rose at the Esplanade (Singapore) and the Sydney Opera House (Australia), then Đà Lạt |
| 2025 | A show at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles |
| Early 2026 | The Rose in Đà Lạt |
| 17 December 2026 | Circus of Friends at the Phú Thọ Circus, HCMC |
What comes next
Thanh Niên said the fan vote is still collecting picks and the official setlist has not been announced. At The Rose in early 2026, the singer spoke of a future meeting in a new land, and both papers asked whether the Phú Thọ Circus is that place or whether another surprise is still to come. Neither paper has published ticket prices or a sales date.
