The eurozone composite PMI rose from 52 in August to 53.1 in September 2026, its highest reading since April 2023, according to S&P Global survey results cited by VietnamPlus. The services index reached 53, with readings above 50 indicating expansion under the survey’s method. Economist Chris Williamson said the results were consistent with quarterly GDP growth of about 0.4% in the third quarter. That is a survey-based estimate, rather than an official GDP release. Discussion of further European Central Bank tightening likewise reflects expectations, not a newly announced interest-rate decision.
