Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh beat Hải Phòng 2-1 at Hà Tĩnh Stadium at 18:00 on 24 October 2026 in round 5 of LPBank V.League 1 2026/27. Ngô Văn Lương opened the scoring early in the second half and Joel Tagueu headed Hải Phòng level, before foreign forward Daniel Passira nodded in a late winner from a cross by veteran Nguyễn Trọng Hoàng. According to Sportmonks data, Hà Tĩnh now have 10 points and sit fifth, 1 point behind leaders Sông Lam Nghệ An, while Hải Phòng are eighth on 6 points.
A busy goalkeeper and a decisive substitute
Hải Phòng arrived on the back of a 5-1 win at Đà Nẵng in round 4. SGGP described Đặng Văn Thành's side as the league's road specialists, one of only two teams with a perfect away record going into round 5. The first half was tight. Dân trí reported that goalkeeper Văn Toản had to dive to keep out a long-range effort from Trung Nguyên in the 17th minute, and that he also denied a Daniel Passira header from a Luiz Antonio free kick in the 32nd. Bongdaplus singled out Văn Toản's display as the reason the visitors were still level at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
At half-time coach Phan Như Thuật sent on Trọng Hoàng for Duy Thường, according to the line-ups published by Bongdaplus, and told his players to shoot from distance, SGGP said. Luiz Antonio fired just wide in the 54th minute. Moments later, after Charles Atshimene shielded the ball, Ngô Văn Lương carried it into the middle and hit a long-range shot past Văn Toản. Dân trí and SGGP put the goal in the 56th minute; Bongdaplus logged it in the 57th.
Passira broke clear but could not beat Văn Toản in the 70th minute. A minute later Tagueu rose to head in a cross from Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, who had come on in the 62nd, to make it 1-1. Dân trí said the referee allowed the goal after a VAR check, while Bongdaplus described the equaliser as coming from a free kick.
Just when the game looked set for a draw, the 37-year-old defender Trọng Hoàng whipped in an awkward cross from the left and Passira climbed to head home. Dân trí and SGGP timed the winner in the 89th minute; Bongdaplus had it in the 87th and listed the scorer as Floro Daniel. SGGP added that Passira's evening ended badly: he was injured in stoppage time and carried off on a stretcher.
