FIFA president Gianni Infantino indicated willingness to discuss more funding for member associations from the governing body’s reserves, according to a letter seen by The Guardian. He did not commit to the proposed minimum of $10 million per member sought by UEFA and Concacaf leaders.
The proposals were due for consideration by the FIFA Council on October 15. Welcoming higher support does not mean a specific payout has been approved or transferred to the 211 associations.
