Programme launched with three partners
Units of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam E-Commerce Association and Amazon launched a programme on October 19 to help young entrepreneurs reach international markets through e-commerce. Ministry participants include the e-commerce, trade-promotion and import-export departments.
The programme focuses on businesses with promising products, experience selling online domestically and an interest in overseas consumers. Training, experience-sharing and connections with export-support services are intended to help firms assess readiness and build a route appropriate to their resources.
Its scope goes beyond operating a shop on one platform. Topics include market knowledge, product selection, branding, logistics, payments and technology-supported operations.
AI skills and a future support target
AI tools are presented as possible aids for market research, customer analysis, content creation, inventory management and partial automation. Those capabilities are training subjects, not a promise of sales, admission or profitability for participants.
The initiative is linked to national e-commerce and international-business support plans for 2026-30. The stated objective is intensive, comprehensive support for at least 100 enterprises by 2030 so they can operate effectively on cross-border platforms. It is a target, not a number already completed at launch.
After Hanoi, activities are planned for Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City before wider expansion. The announcement establishes the partnership and support agenda while leaving individual company outcomes to later implementation. It does not report export results achieved by each participant or a final selection list.
