Liverpool have ruled Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo out of their Premier League meeting with Manchester City. Andoni Iraola said Isak has a thigh injury and Gakpo an ankle problem sustained during international duty. He does not currently expect lengthy absences and will assess them daily. Jérémy Jacquet is expected to be available. Federico Chiesa has resumed training but has not played since his injury, leaving his involvement subject to further consideration.
