Priority sectors and conditional reductions

MB announced a lending-rate reduction of 1.5 percentage points a year for five priority fields: agriculture and rural development, export production and business, small and medium-sized enterprises, supporting industries and high-technology businesses.

The bank said rates after adjustment start from 7.9% a year. It may consider reductions of up to two percentage points in particular priority-support cases. The maximum is conditional and is not a universal two-point cut for every customer or loan.

The announcement, made on October 19, was framed as support for production and business during the final months of the year. Credit remains subject to the bank's eligibility and approval requirements.

Earlier programmes and digital processing

MB previously introduced a 10 trillion dong preferential package for smaller firms in selected sectors, with pricing below its average comparable loan rates. That earlier package has its own scope and should not be merged into a claim that all current lending receives the same terms.

The bank also reported around 71 trillion dong in green credit and ESG investment, with roughly 70% directed to clean or renewable energy and green transport infrastructure. It registered a separate 20 trillion dong limit for an infrastructure and strategic-technology credit programme through 2030.

Through BIZ MBBank, qualifying applications can be processed digitally, including same-day automated approval where conditions are met. These operating features do not remove appraisal requirements or guarantee funding to every applicant. The report presents MB's stated programmes and conditions rather than a personalised borrowing recommendation.
