Vingroup has announced land-rent support for manufacturing partners locating factories in industrial parks operated by Vinhomes and VinFast. Almost 1,000 businesses attended its October 16 localisation and supplier-development conference, VnExpress reported.

Vice chairwoman Thai Thi Thanh Hai said eligible partners would receive a 50% rent reduction for the first three years and 30% for the following five years. The policy concerns partners establishing factories in the specified industrial parks rather than a nationwide reduction for all businesses.

Procurement and supply-chain expansion

Vingroup also outlined access to logistics infrastructure and deep-water ports, alongside technical and output support. About two months before the conference, the group consolidated procurement into three centres covering industry and technology, construction, and other goods and services.

The company said this would simplify dealings with partners, combine demand across subsidiaries and standardise purchasing requirements. It is seeking both domestic suppliers and foreign-invested businesses operating in Vietnam.

Potential supply areas range from cars, electric motorcycles, steel and robots to energy, infrastructure and services. Suppliers may also have opportunities linked to VinFast factories in India and Indonesia.

Suppliers describe investment demands

Weldcom said contracts with Vingroup exceeded $200 million across 2018–2025, spanning production-line design and automotive body-line integration. It highlighted technical standards, quality and delivery schedules as significant requirements.

Automech described its move from machinery supply into component production for VinFast and said its workforce now exceeded 1,000. The company is considering a factory in India. Expansion plans and production targets presented at the conference remain prospective rather than completed capacity or delivered sales.
