The second season of One Hundred Years of Solitude completed its release in August, with seven episodes arriving on August 5 and the finale on August 26, according to VnExpress. The eight-part season continues the first instalment and brings the Buendia family's screen story to its conclusion.

The adaptation returns to Macondo, the fictional town created by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. As the story moves forward, the railway and the banana company's activities draw the town into closer contact with the outside world. Those changes expand the narrative beyond family life into broader social tensions.

Julian Roman plays the brothers Jose Arcadio Segundo and Aureliano Segundo. Marleyda Soto returns as Ursula Iguaran, while Claudio Cataño portrays Colonel Aureliano Buendia. New cast members help depict characters at different stages of their lives as the story moves through generations.

The scale of production is another notable feature. VnExpress reported that the second season involved more than 600 crew members, with Macondo built on a site of around 52 hectares in Alvarado, Tolima, Colombia. The physical town set provides a shared space for the family's changing fortunes and the transformations taking place around it.
