The National Assembly's Culture and Social Affairs Committee is studying a proposal to make July 27, War Invalids and Martyrs Day, a public holiday, following its October 3 meeting, VietnamPlus reported. During legislative scrutiny, the committee also supported adding Vietnam Culture Day as a fully paid day off. The July 27 suggestion remains under study and has not become a new holiday entitlement. Policy impacts and draft provisions require further assessment before the National Assembly considers a decision.
