Rio Ngumoha says Liverpool remains his focus amid reports linking him with other clubs. Speaking after the comeback victory over Brentford, the winger said his representative was handling matters concerning his future while he concentrated on football.

Arsenal have been described as a possible destination, with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig also reportedly monitoring him. Those accounts concern interest, rather than a completed transfer.

Opportunities under Iraola

Ngumoha made his senior Liverpool debut aged 16 in January 2025, appearing in the 4-0 FA Cup win against Accrington Stanley. Now 18, he has played in five of the first seven Premier League games this season under Andoni Iraola, according to the report.

He also started cup matches against Atlético Madrid, LASK and Tottenham. His existing contract is listed as running until June 2028. The interview does not announce either a departure or a new agreement.

Adapting to the right

The arrivals of Bradley Barcola and Victor Muñoz, alongside Mohamed Salah's departure, have brought more appearances on the right rather than the left. Ngumoha said he enjoys the challenge of becoming effective on both sides.

He feels the adjustment can make him less predictable and has worked on it in training. He also welcomed learning from Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka after Thomas Tuchel selected him for England's recent Nations League matches.

His comments emphasise present opportunities and development at Liverpool, leaving the reported transfer interest separate from any confirmed decision.
