Nguyễn Ngọc Trà My, a bilingual MC from Ho Chi Minh City who stands 1.77 m tall, won the first Miss Charm Vietnam on the night of 22 October 2026 in Đồng Nai, beating 21 other finalists. According to Tuổi Trẻ, she will represent Vietnam at the international Miss Charm 2026 pageant, due to be held in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of this year.

The results

The contest ran under the theme Beauty Born from Culture. Thanh Niên reported that the top 22 were cut to 16 for the swimsuit round, then 11 for evening gowns, before five finalists took the question-and-answer round.

Both outlets list the same core special awards: best fashion for Nguyễn Thị Minh Ngọc, most impressive profile for Trà My, best áo dài for Nguyễn Thị Diệu Linh, talent for Hồ Yến Loan and best catwalk for Hà Lê Quỳnh Nga. Two national costume designs, Vó ngọc tay ngà by Mai Nhật Tân and Huệ nam ngự giá by Nguyễn Huy Hoàng, shared the top prize.

Thanh Niên said Trà My was the only top-five finalist to answer in two languages. Asked how she would promote quan họ folk singing as a tourism ambassador, she opened by singing a line from Bèo dạt mây trôi, then argued that music is the best way to promote a country's culture and language, adding that she already introduces Vietnamese songs to international friends. Tuổi Trẻ's verdict on the top five overall was that the answers were complete but not memorable.

Who the new titleholder is

Tuổi Trẻ gives her birth year as 1996. At 18 she moved to Australia to study communications at RMIT University, then worked in brand management, strategic partnerships and premium services for multinational companies. She now runs a media company, is studying for a postgraduate degree in business administration and leadership at Edgewood University in the US, and works as a bilingual host at corporate conferences and diplomatic events. She previously entered The TVFace 2025.

Head judge Nguyễn Thị Thúy Nga, chair of the Miss Charm Organization, told Tuổi Trẻ the panel strongly agreed on the result, praising Trà My's looks, intelligence and stage presence as well as her closed-door interview. The other judges were Miss Charm 2024 Rashmita Rashindran, Miss Charm 2025 Anna Blanco and Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 Bùi Quỳnh Hoa.

What comes next

Trà My now turns to Miss Charm 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, where Thúy Nga hopes Vietnam will do well. She also admitted the first edition, prepared in three months, has much to improve, and said the Miss Charm Organization would meet the producer and other partners to decide whether to continue together or take a new direction next season. Catwalk director Nguyễn Thanh Thanh, who trained the contestants, told Thanh Niên she always reminds them that a crown is only the start of a long journey, and that she hopes Trà My keeps improving ahead of the international stage.
