Sacombank appointed Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh as acting chief executive from November 2, succeeding Loic Faussier, according to VnExpress and VietnamPlus. She had been a deputy chief executive. Faussier will remain with the bank as a senior adviser to its board.

Management experience behind the appointment

Born in 1983, Kieu Anh holds a master’s degree in business administration and has more than 20 years of financial and banking experience. Her earlier career included VPBank and LPBank, with positions in credit, branch and regional management and senior administration.

VnExpress reported that she became an LPBank deputy chief executive responsible for its governance office in December 2025 before moving to Sacombank. Board chairman Duong Cong Minh signed the latest appointment. The executive team now consists of an acting chief executive and eight deputies.

Leadership transition during restructuring

The bank said the change was intended to accelerate completion of its restructuring plan. Retaining Faussier as a board adviser is intended to preserve his international experience and understanding of its operations, according to the VietnamPlus account.

VnExpress placed the appointment in a sequence of leadership changes over roughly a year. Nguyen Duc Thuy initially became acting chief executive in December 2025 and later obtained formal approval. Faussier took over after Thuy moved to the board and received his own formal appointment in July.

The acting role remains distinct from a permanent appointment, which requires central bank approval. Kieu Anh and the executive team are next tasked with implementing business strategy, completing restructuring and maintaining operational safety. The reports did not announce a date for a new permanent appointment.
