The Government News reported that seven commodity groups, including coffee, rubber and timber, are covered by the proposal. The indicative timetable envisages consultation in late 2026, guidance in 2027 and implementation around 2028.
The regime is still being developed. Systems built for the EU's EUDR may provide useful foundations, but do not automatically satisfy Great Britain's separate requirements.
