North Korea defeated China 2-0 in the Asian Games women’s football semifinal. BongdaPlus reported that the breakthrough came in the 53rd minute when Yao Wei scored an own goal during a North Korean attack.
Myong Yu Jong added a long-range goal in the 79th minute, and North Korea protected the lead to secure a place in the final. China will contest the bronze-medal match. Both goals came after a scoreless opening half.
