Foreign highlights

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, retells the clash between Prince Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu, and demon king Ravana. It is the first of two parts, with the second due next year and a combined budget of about $500 million. The epic itself dates back nearly 2,500 years.

Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus Zero is set in 1949, two years after the previous film, with Godzilla's destruction spreading from Japan to New York. Francis Lawrence's Hunger Games prequel is set 24 years before the first film and follows a 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada). Ti West's Ebenezer stars Johnny Depp as Scrooge, while Focker-In-Law, the fourth Fockers film, features Ben Stiller and Ariana Grande. Paradise Lost comes from director Yeon Sang Ho.
