An Giang approved 1:2,000 zoning plans for Rach Vem and Ganh Dau in Phu Quoc, covering about 550.8 hectares in total. VnExpress reported that the plans combine tourism-oriented urban areas, ecological resorts and coastal spaces.
Rach Vem covers about 320.6 hectares and Ganh Dau about 230.28 hectares, with housing, services and infrastructure allocated in the plans. Approval establishes development and land-use directions; it does not mean the proposed facilities have been built.
