Performer and honorees have separate roles

This year's honorees are visual artist Vija Celmins and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. Rosé is announced as the musical performer, not as an Art+Film award recipient. An older photograph showing her with trophies should therefore not be treated as evidence of a LACMA honour.

LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio return as co-chairs. Gucci is the presenting sponsor, with Audi providing transport and additional support. The museum's earlier announcement identifies this as the 15th gala and says Gucci has supported it since the event began in 2011.

Fundraising supports the museum's programmes

According to Yonhap, proceeds support the effort to make film more central to LACMA's curatorial work, alongside exhibitions, acquisitions and education. The performance announcement is a preparatory step; no total raised or concert outcome has yet been reported.

Chow described the evening as a connection between different forms of creativity. The available announcements establish the guest, honorees and date, but do not specify Rosé's set list or performance length. Further programme details will depend on subsequent museum information. The accompanying UPI photograph published by Yonhap is archival, rather than an image of a November gala that has already happened.
