Ho Chi Minh City has agreed to stage Say Hi năm 2027 on December 26, 2026, along the Saigon River, Tuổi Trẻ reports. DATVIET VAC Group Holdings will organise the programme.
Several locations within one programme
The plan includes an opening and three chapters named Thành phố mở, Bắt nhịp Thành phố and Giao thoa rực rỡ. Its theme is telling the city's story through artistic language. Locations span the riverfront park and Ravo Park in An Khánh, the Tôn Đức Thắng pavement area and Nguyễn Huệ pedestrian street.
The Nguyễn Huệ segment lasts 30 minutes within the Hò dô international music festival. Approximately ten minutes of artistic fireworks are planned from 11:20 p.m., with high-altitude fireworks at the An Khánh riverfront.
Preparation and operating conditions
The culture and sports department will coordinate guidance and checks. Requirements cover security, traffic, fire prevention, medical support, electrical and sound safety, sanitation and environmental protection. The organiser must provide evacuation and incident-response arrangements, address any damage and fund the programme. Event areas must follow approved layouts and designs. Advertising, fireworks, performances and any drone filming must remain within the licensed content.
Installation is scheduled to begin on December 10, 2026, with the sites returned by January 3, 2027. The next practical updates concern implementation and audience access during that preparation period, in addition to the city's agreement already reported.
