Saigon–Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) and Bạch Mai Hospital signed a broad cooperation agreement on 3 November 2026 covering finance, digital transformation, training, healthcare and social support. Government News says the parties will study payment options suited to hospital processes.

Payment tools under consideration

The report lists dynamic QR codes, smart payment terminals, self-service kiosks and online payments among the potential tools. The stated aim of integrating them at suitable stages is to simplify procedures, reduce waiting time and help the hospital reconcile payments.

The parties also plan to cooperate on payment accounts, collection of hospital fees, payroll and cash-flow management. SHB is to survey and advise on digital transformation options for financial administration and payments.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation. Studying or planning these services does not mean every hospital payment counter has installed the equipment or already accepts every listed method. Specific availability must be confirmed as services are introduced.

Training and community support

Beyond banking, Bạch Mai expects to help provide health consultations and basic first-aid guidance for SHB staff and their families. The report also describes potential cooperation on training, applied research and medical technology transfer.

The organisations intend to support patients in difficulty through assistance with fees, medicines and medical supplies, and to study free medical services in remote areas. Infrastructure or equipment support would depend on actual needs, resources and implementation conditions.

Government News notes that SHB and affiliated organisations previously supported the hospital with facilities and equipment during COVID-19. Specific projects under the new agreement remain to be announced as they are arranged.
