Decision 1919/QĐ-TTg, signed on October 2, 2026, amends Vietnam's programme to improve its sovereign credit rating by 2030, the government news portal reported. The objective is a rating of at least Moody's Baa3 or S&P and Fitch's BBB- by that year. The programme updates growth, fiscal and bank-capital targets and emphasises data quality, innovation and digital transformation. These rating levels are future objectives for Vietnam rather than announcements of upgrades by the rating agencies.
